Hydraulic Hose – Pipe Swager – Crimping Chuck
Leak-Proof, Uniform & High-Pressure Hose Assembly Solution
Overview
A Hydraulic Hose / Pipe Swager – Crimping Chuck is a heavy-duty forming and clamping system used on hose crimping and swaging machines to permanently join hose fittings, ferrules, and pipes.
By applying controlled, uniform 360° radial pressure, it ensures accurate crimp diameter, strong retention, and zero leakage - even in high-pressure hydraulic applications.
Designed for production lines and service workshops, these chucks deliver repeatable crimps, fast cycle times, and long tool life.
Applications
- • Hydraulic hose assembly (SAE / EN standards)
- • Industrial & pneumatic hose crimping
- • High-pressure oil & fuel lines
- • Construction & earthmoving equipment hoses
- • Automotive, marine & oil & gas hoses
- • Pipe swaging for metal tube ends
- • Hose repair & service centers
Key Features
- ✔ Uniform 360° radial crimping / swaging
- ✔ Precise and repeatable crimp OD control
- ✔ Leak-proof joint formation
- ✔ Hardened, precision-ground segments/dies
- ✔ High wear resistance for long service life
- ✔ Smooth operation with reduced machine load
- ✔ Fast changeover for different hose sizes
- ✔ Compatible with manual & hydraulic swaging machines
Working Principle
Hydraulic pressure drives a tapered ring or piston that forces multi-segment crimping dies to move radially inward.
This converts axial force into even radial compression, forming the ferrule or pipe end to the specified crimp diameter without damaging the hose or fitting.
