What is a Drill Collet?
A Drill Collet is a tool-holding collet used to hold drill bits, reamers, taps, and straight-shank tools with better accuracy and grip than a conventional drill chuck.
It is commonly used in lathes (tailstock), drilling machines, milling machines, CNC machines, and SPMs.
Drill collets are preferred where low runout, firm holding, and consistent drilling accuracy are required.
Key Features
• Accurate centering of drill tools
• Strong & uniform gripping force
• Reduced runout compared to drill chucks
• Simple, compact & robust design
• Long service life
• Cost-effective tool holding solution
